![]() Nancy Falxa-RaymondRecord Type: Person Institution: NYC Urban Field Station Biography: Nancy Falxa-Raymond completed a Masters in Conservation Biology at Columbia University where her research explored nutrient cycling and associated physiological changes in several native tree species in response to the loss of oak trees and urbanization, two types of disturbance that affect soil nitrogen dynamics and nitrogen availability in forest ecosystems. Currently, Nancy is a US Forest Service researcher at the NYC Urban Field Station where she works on the development, coordination, and implementation of ecological studies and social science based research in the New York City area.
